Maruyama Fiber Industry Co. Ltd was founded in Nara, Japan in 1930. They began manufacturing traditional mosquito nets that were woven from cotton and hemp fabrics. Mosquito nets later lost their relevance in Japan because of modern living and convenience. The traditional mosquito net fabric has since been adapted using traditional weaving technologies, into a line of multipurpose eco cloths. This absorbent, quick-drying fabric is perfect for the home. This Organic Binchotan Face Towel is made of US-grown organic cotton with binchotan-infused rayon. The binchotan works to naturally neutralizes odors that come in contact with the fabric. The fabric is very soft, with a unique Japanese weave that provides gentle but effective exfoliation.

Each Nawrap product is made in Japan using traditional Japanese weaving techniques. Many years ago, Nawrap manufactured mosquito nets, but later transitioned into home textiles. Because of this, the soft material has a net-like appearance. The weave construction is incredibly unique, and the fabric is very absorbent and quick to dry.
