Strucà is a no-butter, dairy-free cake, made with extra-virgin olive oil and candied lemon peels and produced all year round. It is light and airy, with the delicate honey-vanilla flavor of panettone. It is topped with icing and Bari almonds. The perfect option for our vegan friends!

The high percentage of unsaturated fats make olive oil beneficial for heart and blood vessels. Its phenols are powerful antioxidants, fighting against free radicals. A lot of healthy properties of olive oil were already known in the remote past. For ancient Romans oil was such a symbol of longevity and beauty that Cleopatra used to have long baths dipped in the olive oil.
