BLONDIE (Lab)
BEAUFORT, SC...I was sent a heart-breaking picture from Beaufort County Animal Services almost two months ago of a dog with a massive tumor on her head. She was a six-year-old yellow lab. I offered to help if the Owner was not found. With Covid-19 this last year, we never know the entire story of how these innocent Souls end up in harm's way. Blondie had a microchip registered that BCAS was contacting to get Blondie back to her rightful Owner.
SUGAR (Maltese)
BEAUFORT, SC......I received a note from a Special Ed. Teacher begging for help for her 11-year-old Maltese named Sugar. She explained he had not been eating or drinking for the last four days and was now lethargic and in terrible pain. I explained that we only do medical abuse cases and gave her some names of Vets that I felt would help her figure out what the problem was. The conversation went on until I realized this person had no financial means to help her pup.
GIRLFRIEND (Lab)
BEAUFORT, SC.....I hope all the Mothers out there enjoy a peaceful, relaxing day being loved by all your two and 4-legged children. I think everyone in some form or fashion is a Mother to someone or something, whether it be a human, animal, or the Earth. We are always nurturing and loving something.
ROADY (Lab)
RANDOLPH COUNTY, NC...Our sweet Roady is a beautiful 14-year-old Lab that was surrendered to the shelter because the Owners no longer wanted him. He was covered with fleas, lesions on his back, emaciated, and could barely walk. Sweet Roady was so defeated he could barely hold his head up. There was no way I could not help this beautiful Old Soul.
SKY (Maltese)
SHELTON, CONNECTICUT.....I have reached a point where I believe all Backyard Breeders should be shut down if they are not regulated. I see far too many innocent puppies born into this World with Genetic problems that impact the rest of their lives. Most suffer and eventually die horrible deaths or are euthanized without a Care in the World.

LUNA (Boston Mix)
SENECA, SC......Luna is a 14-month-old Boston Terrier Mix signed over to the Oconee Humane Society after the Owners decided they no longer wanted to deal with her medical issues. Luna has had heart issues since she was born. Sadly, no one has given her a proper diagnosis other than she has a Grade-4 heart Murmur.
WYATT
LAWRENCEVILLE, SC.....We had been helping Gwinnett County Animal Services when we got a desperate plea to help a beautiful Red-Tick Coon Hound that had been hit by a car. Sweet Wyatt had been lying on the side of the road and could not stand. I am sure this young, one-year-old hound was doing what his instinct told him. To sniff, and run and never look up to see if he was in traffic. The problem is, his owner should have kept him safe. Why get a hunting dog for its incredible nose and ability to retrieve if you are not going to look after him?
ZOOEY (Shepherd)
CHARLESTON, SC.....There never is a good time to post a disturbing post about an innocent, tortured puppy. CVRC contacted me on Thursday about a 7-month-old German Shepherd puppy that appeared to have been used as a Bait dog. His right ear was missing, and his left ear was partially torn off. She was covered with bite marks on his face, neck, and front leg. She has swelling from an embedded collar and a fracture in her neck.
MARIGOLD (Boxer Mix)
I am happy to say that 2020 is almost over. One more day, and we can put this year behind us.
