Animals
Mac (Chihuahua)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and is ready to take on 2022. It seems like everywhere we look, Covid Cases surround us. We have 32 dogs in our care and four people looking after them; we cannot afford for anyone to get sick. We take every precaution imaginable, but eventually, it will be at our door.
Happy Holidays 2021
I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful Holiday filled with much Joy and Laughter. The last two years have been difficult at best. People's homes and livelihoods have been lost with no hope of returning. In the midst of all the hardships, there is always a glimmer of Hope. I have chosen not to post as many animals due to the difficulties people face. We are still taking in abused animals, supplying surgery and medical care, and finding homes for those we do not have room for.
Otis Redding
Right in the middle of saving one dog from being put to sleep, I received another text from Beaufort County begging for help with a 5-week old, 5 pound Labradoodle puppy. The Owner brought tiny Otis Redding to the shelter and explained she was unwell and could not care for this young puppy. She said he was in excellent health and nothing was wrong with him.
