QUEENIE

QUEENIE

BEAUFORT, SC......We see it all at Noah's Arks Rescue and are still shocked at the inhumanity of Mankind when it comes to Man's Best Friend.   Beaufort County contacted us about a puppy that was brought in two weeks ago, that was critical.    She appeared to be an emaciated eighteen-month-old Pitbull that someone had burned all over her fragile body.

WOODY (Dachshund)

WOODY (Dachshund)

BEAUFORT, SC...Sweet Woody is a 3-4-year-old Dachshund that was an owner surrender.   We were contacted late yesterday evening about a dog that had been surrendered and was at the vet unable to walk.   He had a little bit of deep-pain but not a lot.  Given he is a Dachshund, it was assumed he had IVDD, which is common in this breed.

NANNA

NANNA

BEAUFORT, SC...There is no excuse for the abuse and neglect we see daily.  We are so inundated with Abused, Tortured Dogs that we don't have time post for them.  We will eventually, but our top priority is getting them the medical care they need.

We had just agreed to help Beaufort County with a poor pup with acid burns all over her when we got another request from Beaufort asking to help a sweet young dog with an embedded collar.  I immediately said there was no way.  I am sorry, but we do not have any room or funds.  In the next second, I said okay and for the dog to be taken to CVRC in Charleston, SC.

I was in shock when I received the pictures of this two-year-old pup that had a chain with a massive hook on the end that probably weighed more than she does.   I have no earthly idea of how Nanna is alive today.  When you see the pics, you are going to be horrified.  The Human Race is going to Hell in a Hand Basket.   My heart breaks for this innocent Soul.

Why get a dog if you are going to tie the dog up and never check on her to see how she is doing.  Nanna's collar was so embedded that it had cut a ring around her neck almost two inches wide.  Beaufort County Animal Control picked up Nanna as a stray dragging the massive chain with a hook attached.   I have to believe that someone has to know who this sweet dog belongs to.    BCACS is looking for any information to find and convict the person that did this.

Poor Nanna is in ICU being treated.  They are doing diagnostics and talking to the surgeons to see the best for dear Nanna.  As we get more information, we will post it.  For now, we have to raise funds for her medical care.  Please, DONATE whatever you can.

ACE (GSD)

ACE (GSD)

BEAUFORT, SC.....I sometimes think we are the only ones in Beaufort County that helps BCAC with their major medical abuse and neglect cases.   No matter how many we take in, there are always more needing extensive surgery and medical care.  Just about the time I had said NO, we were beyond full, in walks Ace.

RIVER (Rottie)

River, River, River ...we have gone around and around with Specialists to figure out what happened to dear River and what we could do about his eye.  Cleaning and medicating his eye was a daily ritual that everyone hated, including River.  He was not very nice about the process and for good reason.

ERNIE (WH Terrier Mix)

ERNIE (WH Terrier Mix)

BEAUFORT, SC......I received a desperate plea with a video yesterday of a six-year-old wire-haired terrier mix abandoned.   Beaufort County Animal Control had been trying to catch this sweet pup for several days and had finally trapped him.  They knew he was in bad shape but was not prepared for how sick he was.  He did not have food or water and lived under a run-down mobile home with kittens that were also caught.

RIVER (Rottie)

RIVER (Rottie)

BEAUFORT, SC......We got a call from Beaufort County about a stray Rottweiller they had picked up.   They had him for a week on stray hold before they contacted us.   He was picked up on River Ave. and was named River.  We were contacted because he looked like someone had bashed in the right side of his head.  His head had a big dent, and his right eye was infected and sunken.

Lola Bean (Pittie)

Lola Bean (Pittie)

BEAUFORT, SC...A Vet contacted us in the Lowcountry of South Carolina that desperately wanted to save a two-month-old puppy.  Lola Bean was brought to the Vet after she had stopped eating and was lethargic.  Most Vets in General Practice cannot save a puppy that needs life support to breathe.  The animal has to be rushed to a Speciality Hospital that has an ER and a Criticalist.

ETTA JAMES

ETTA JAMES

TARBORO, NC......Usually, a picture is worth a thousand words.   Not in the case of Etta James.  Not only was the picture not accurate, but her story wasn't either.   The original story from SPCA Alliance of NC was a desperate plea to help a 10-month-old stray mixed breed puppy.   The original text said she needed emergency surgery.  A tumor/growth was found outside her kidney when she was spayed.

Little Boy (Hound)

Little Boy (Hound)

ANDERSON, SC.....We were sent a desperate plea for help with an older Hound Mix.  The Family had contacted Anderson County PAWS when it was determined the Owner had to be placed in a Nursing Home.   Neither Mother nor Grand-daughter had a place to keep Little Boy.   He had lived with his Owner since a baby, and now Little Boy had a medical emergency.
